'N GROW GARDEN SOCIETY COMMUNITY PROJECTS
Developed,
landscaped, and maintain a walking path and garden, named
"Path of Life" at Chapin Station on the West Orange
Trail. Engraved bricks and benches are sold and given in memory
of loved ones and events.
Received the prestigious Kellogg Award for the Path of Life
given to only one garden club in the United States.
Landscaped homes for Habitat for Humanity and received the
national Civic Beautification Award from Habitat for Humanity
for this on going project.
Award cash scholarships to deserving horticultural students
attending Florida Universities.
Contribute financially and physically to the Oakland Nature
Preserve.
Landscaped and maintain backyard area for tutoring students
at Ocoee Christian Service Center.
Provide garden therapy for area nursing home residents.
Provide scholarships for attendees of Wekiva Summer Environmental
Camp.
Hold monthly educational programs for members and guests,
featuring horticultural professionals.
Commemorate Arbor Day with planting of trees in the West Orange
area.
Established a Junior Garden Club at Windy Ridge Elementary
School. We were awarded the School Beautification Award for
this project.
Co-hosted a Louis-Comfort Tiffany Event.
Contributed to landscaping Oakland Town Square and provided
a Gazebo which our members decorate for Christmas Holidays.
Contributed to landscaping of downtown Winter Garden and renovation
of Winter Garden Theater project.
Financially contributed to the Windermere and Ocoee Streetscapes.
Landscaped an area in Monteverde.
Contributed plants for a butterfly garden on the West Orange
Trail.
Financially support preservation of the Henry Nehrling Home
and Gardens in Gotha.
